She explained everything very thoroughly, gave clear options for modifications, has a calm, grounded voice, and structured a very well balanced class. This is definitely a challenging yet empowering class that’s NOT high intensity/bootcamp- like where the instructor is basically yelling at you. SO refreshing to do a strength class that leaves you refreshed and is not overwhelming.

Seriously when did 3lb weights start feeling like 50s? 😅 The music was good too (the instructor must be in her cowgirl era). There was no beginning stretch so come having already warmed up and stretched out. There is a benefit if you frequent this class v. a drop in because she sticks with the same routine for a bit and elevates it each class.

It was my first time there, and she immediately catered towards me and gave me an extra bolster during class for my comfort, which I really appreciate. The sound healing exercise we did towards the middle-end of the class really helped my vibrations. This type of yoga is perfect if you’re looking to disengage and enter a more meditative, relaxed state of mind. I felt so relaxed coming out of the class, ready to step out into the world to deal with whatever challenges me next. Her dog is cute, too, he joined us for yoga today 😉

I love how encouraging she is throughout the class, even providing modifications, and she always asks for feedback. Of note, this is a heated class. You either need to bring a yoga mat or rent one from the studio but I also suggest bringing a towel (also for rent) and water (available for purchase). You will get a workout so if you’re new, take breaks as needed as the room gets HOT!
