Working out in LA is super expensive, but when you work out with her, you not only get your moneys worth, but you're also getting a fantastic workout that doesn't sacrifice form + safety. It reminds me of the power yoga classes Santa Monica used to be known for—long, steady holds that build balance and strength. One thing I’ve noticed about the flow classes here is that they often feel designed for people who avoid stillness and crave constant stimulation. But real yoga is moving meditation. It challenges both the body and mind to find stillness, even in motion. When the music is thumping the entire time, it’s hard to truly feel centered. In contrast, the music choices in this flow-and-hold class were thoughtful and really enhanced the meditative experience.

It wasn’t just that you change stations every minute, but some movements are static holds while others are explosive power moves and others are pure cardio, which made the class so engaging. I usually do lagree Pilates and spin classes, and will definitely start incorporating training mate into my week!

Jim asked if I had any injuries or physical limitations and he lmk I could modify any exercises to fit my needs. The class was welcoming as Jim introduced me as a first timer.
