Teacher was great but would love to hear more details about how to use the right techniques. The instructions went by quick, maybe I was distracted or because it was my first time, I had to watch the rest a few times to understand the movements. For the rest it was still fun even as a newbie.

I’ve picked up ballet again recently after almost 20 years and I went from being advanced to beginner again which has not been easy. I’ve been trying out different studios, teachers and level of class for the past 3 weeks and I’ve now taken 2 classes with Chanquito, one beginner and one beginner / intermediate. In both I found that he has the perfect balance of care, patience, but also making it a challenging enough class while also making it easily accessible for different levels. I leave his class feeling great, both physically and mentally. The classes are fun and relaxed while demanding enough to improve technique. I’ve found the class and teacher I will commit to!

Se alle anmeldelseneSuch a fun class! So glad there’s finally a dance class in Amsterdam that’s simple and easy to follow. It doesn’t even feel like working out! Shady Lady is the best, with such vibrant, fun energy. I hope the classes will be offered more often or be a bit longer (1 hour)!!

Se alle anmeldelseneMy favourite class so far! It was a special one, focused on progressive weight lifting: doing the same reps but increasing the load each time. It was really helpful because the first set was a great baseline to find your rhythm and after that you could scale up. And we did not use the steps so there was no chaotic transition of switching between mat, steps and lying down and getting up again. The entire workout was standing which felt more efficient and streamlined. I really want more of these classes! <3
